Default Holy crud, that Naruto game looks amazing

I've never seen the cartoon and I hadn't really heard anything about the game, but my housemate just got Naruto: Rise of a Ninja for 360 and I was watching him play it. The graphics are really beautiful and it looks like a pretty fun time. The reviews for it are OK, coming in at 80%

If any of you rent games, it may be best that way. It looks like it could get old after a few hours, but I think you'll be impressed with the cell shading.
I own a 360 and a PS3. I play my 360 more but think Uncharted is the best game of this generation so far.

And they probably don't play games often. I tend not to play games under 7's. Remember 7 is 'good', 8 is great, 9 is excellence, and 10 well 10 is perfection.

8's and 9's are prefered here. But i've even found 7's to be very good. I think you need to take the reviews at face value and match with your preferences. Like if they complain about Naruto being a simple fighter and a recap of the anime which could bore fans.... but a great game. I've never watched the show, so the recap will be nice, and from what i've read it seems really good. I'm going to pick this up down the road, i may wait for a best buy 30 dollar special. But I plan on getting this sometime.

People are way to picky, the whole AAA discussion is a different beast all together. Then theres the jerks that site games ugly if there not 1080p native. Just dumb, Mario Galaxy looks great and its a whole 480p on my tv.

I want to check this one out as well. I hate anime but something about running an and jumping on wires and sliding around etc. just seems...fun.

I love the memory thing they spoke of, when you die / get your arse kicked. You get a memory sequence that took place earlier in the game (i think you can even pick it) and you button mash while 'thinking of that' to get the will to fight / get back up.

Something different and cool to add to the mix.

I watched the review for this game on gametrailers.com it looks decent, if I was at all interested in it I would consider picking this one up.

I've been looking forward to this game and picked it up the day it came out. It's a really fun game. Probably the best part is everything that takes place in the Hidden Leaf Village. They really nailed the atmosphere and running around collecting coins really reminded me of playing Crackdown hunting for orbs. Graphics are exactly as you would expect an anime show to be. The cell-shaded 3D look really works well. I would say it's one weak point so far is the one-on-one combat system. It's alright, but Jutsus take too long to pull off. I usually either mess up or get hit before I get a chance to do them. Overall, this game is a 8 out of 10. I hope Ubisoft Montreal will continue makes games for this series.

EDIT: Oh and for the purists out there. I heard that the original Japanese cast will be made available as DLC. (Don't know if it will cost anything though.)
