Crysis - Best looking game ever.

Who else is picking up this title?

I tried to pick it up today with mario galaxy but not available till tomorrow. I played the demo and was able to get a good framerate on medium and playable on high. I am only missing the 8800gtx. I'll be ordering that from newegg tonight.

My specs.
Asus 680i p5n32-e mb
C2D 6400 overclocked to 3.2
4 gbs of 1066 corsairs memory.
Raptor 10000 rpm hdd
2x x1800 256 mb VC
650 powersupply.

Hope the consoles port this. Should be a great game. Metacritic is at 93.

Not only the looks of the game, but the gameplay is very fun from the short demo I played. The reviews mostly are complimenting the visuals and applauding the story line and campaign saying that the game is not just a visuall feast, but has some gaming chops to go with the top end visuals.

Crytek did Far Cry and that was probably the best AI I ever saw. If they are using the same tech for AI or probably something sligtly better I"ll be happy. Reviews have been mostly positive and only read once that the AI was pretty good, but at times the enimies would clump up. Otherwise most of the time they try to keep moving and flank you.

My thouhts are that you are character that has super-human abilites and can run and jump higher than the opponent. So the reviewers might have mistaken that for poor AI instead of the obvious fact that you are where you want to be before they can react.

Picking this up today regardless of some reviews.

I don't know why PC games get brought up here. I'd love to see a console gamer go to a PC board and start talking about how good console games are. Watch them get ripped to shreds. I don't see why things would be different here.

Then you get those smug PC gamers who say:

"It's coming for the 360 and the PC? Oh I'll get it on the PC because I'm a smug elitist and KB&M is far superior."

The other thread was made almost the exact same time as my thread. Sorry for not refreshing the forum every minute to verify that no thread was created similiar to mine.

On a PC game being discussed in the Console smackdown, what is wrong with that? We all enjoy games here and should be free to post about gaming regardless. A PC could just as easily be used exclusively for games as a console is. This could very easily be Crysis versus all other console FPS'.

I own a 360 and a wii as well as a PC. They all get my gaming time so why not talk about the biggest release on PC in some time. When UT3 is released is everyone only going to talk about when it is eventually on a PS3?

Honestly I would have thought more people on this board would be PC gamers as well.

I've been waiting for this game for a few years now. Totally psyched. Might need a better video card though!

IMO, the PC deserves to be included. AT LEAST more so than the Wii anyway. This is, after all, HIGH-DEF digest. You can watch HD movies on your PC, and you can use your PC as your primary HD player in your Home Theater. But you can't do that with the Wii. Hell, you can't even play DVDs on the Wii.

Now, as for the issue of whether or not I give a crap about PC games..? Nope, I don't. At least, not any more.

I'm a fan for RTS' and TBS', and unless Civ Revolutions turns out to change it, those are still firmly planted in the realm of PC gaming.
