I've played about an hour so far and I had a smile on my face the entire time.
The graphics look great on my HD set for a Wii game and the music is incredible. Gameplay can't be touched by any other platformer and as good as Ratchet and Clank is, this puts it to shame.
I can't wait to spend more time with this game. This and Mass Effect will be a nice change of pace from all the shooters I've been playing lately.
Oh, and one thing this game has that I see lacking in all the games I've played on the 360 and PS3 is fucking color. Why is this generation seem to be all about shades of brown. As good as graphics are on the true next gen systems, and with the exception of Katamari Damacy, where is the color dammit?!?! -

Amen.
I especially like the ray surfing game. It gave me a bit of a headache the first 10 times I tried it and failed repeatedly. More hell bent on getting a good run time then actually finishing the race at all seemed to be a fatal error. I hit every turn full speed guns (or fins) a blazing. Eventually I had to just slow up on some of the bigger turns to keep myself from flying off wildly. -

Just turned on my wii after about three months to play this and it needs a system update. I hope the title lives up to the hype.

Im 14 stars in, and Ive enjoyed every minute of this classic game!
It's quite possibly one of the most fun games I've had the pleasure of playing in quite some time. (Although I keep hearing GREAT stuff about Ratchet, which I haven't gotten to yet, so I'll wait to give final judgement on that claim until after I've completed R&C!)
But I must say, this is a no brainer for any Wii owner, its the true successor to Super Mario 64.
Now back to more playing. Ill put up more in depth impressions after I've completed a few more galaxies! Later guys!

i have a hard time comparing it to R&C since mario isn't so much of a shooter.
both are at the top of their respective genres.
about 30 stars into mario so far, and keeps getting better. -

Okay, got to the play the game. I liked it. Though a few things I wasn't completely impressed with...the camera, how many times must I deal with being upside down or around a corner and have no control over where I'm looking. Why is it that everytime I want to look the D-pad refuses to let me go first person or reset the camera behind me? The text bubbles can't be skipped nor the cut scenes. Annonying when you hig a and have to talk to the creatures and then wait for their speach to end before moving on. Can Nintendo ever make a game that has voice acting and not one blurb followed by text. Same thing happened with zelda. On a positive note, the graphics were better than I expected...the best the wii will ever be able to handle I imagine. The gameplay is fun, though I do wish that you had more than a 3 health meter. Hard to figure out what you are doing with each creature or negotiate the horid camera before I get tapped by something and die while trying to grab that one coin.
On a related point. I had to update my console to play the game, and now I figurued I'd check out the Shop channel, though I get an error whenever I try to log in, same with the weather channel. How did the system update, but refuses to let me do anything online. PSN may be bad, but it's leagues better than the poor showing Nintendo is trying to pass off as an online gaming system. Now I remember why I was frustrated all the months ago with this system.
At least their single player games are fun, just hope this is resolved by the time SSBB is released. -

Go to circuit city. They have it, at least where I'm at and were happy to price match. I got a $25 gift card for CC now. More stuff I'm interested there anyway. The manager even knew about the promotion before I said anything. I just asked for the game and said if they could price match it...he finished the thought, mentioning if I was reffering to Toys'r'us' promotion.
After playing both, COD4 is more fun with the online, but SMG is a unique experience that is hard to pass up. -

Seems like it. I keep getting error code 32002 whenever I try to update my console through the settings menu. Though after adjusting the settings per Nintendo's web site I get the message that the connection was tested properly. I have a switch that I could use, but I should have to do that. Anyone have a good website that helps people resolve their wireless issues with the wii. I have configured all settings on the router and wii to the sites specifications and no luck.

It's a fun game, I mean it's Mario come on. The Graphics don't look all that great on a High Definition TV though but maybe I am just so spoiled with X Box 360 and PS3. I do hate using my Wii Controller but oh well. It's a must buy for Wii owners.

Thanks for the Mario impressions, I can't wait to play it.
As for color, go check out Ratchet, the graphics are among the best and very vibrant, nothing like Resistance or even worse Gears for color.
Uncharted has some great visuals as well, a very lush jungle in the demo.
