ANYWAY... GI just gave CoD4 perfect 10s across all formats, making NO distinction between PS3 and 360 versions. Nice to know it's getting good reviews, but I don't think it's enough to pull me (or my friends) away from Halo 3, even though I was a big fan of CoD 1 & 2. i just can't get into the realistic stuff quite as much. It's gotta be sci-fi/fantasy to float my boat
. So I'm looking forward to Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed over anything else. I'll pick up CoD4 after I beat those two.

True dat. I got to the very end of 2 but never went back to finish (need to do that someday...). But I do remember it being pretty long. I spent countless hours on the original CoD on PC, that was the best MP of it's day. Good times.
But yeah, that is a disturbing trend. I was thrilled to hear that Mass Effect was 20 to 30 hrs long if I remember correctly, which used to be considered short for an RPG. But then again, I think I had 78 hrs on Oblivion when I finally retired it, and I didn't even get to the shivering Isles expansion. well to be fair, these games are getting better and more robust MP games than ever before on consoles.
So, it sort of balances it out I guess.
Doesn't really matter for me, cod4 will be my main shooter MP for awhile
and I'll have uncharted/masseffect/AssassinsCreed to fill my SP needs
