PS3 gets the better DiRT
A bit later to come out on PS3 than 360 & PC, but it has benefited a little. Gamespot gives the PS3 a slightly better review.

Wee for waiting months to get a game that other people have already been enjoying. Just to get minor improvements.

I've seen pictures, the graphics are worse on the ps3. Framerate is supposedly better though.

Kenshiro already had a thread about this awhile back. There are some people claiming that the 360 version is better. Here is what I wrote to Yoda, who in fact said he played both and said the 360 has the better version:
Again, they looked about even to me.
PS3 DiRT smoother than 360
EDIT: Looking back at it, they may have just been comparing demos, so I (or anyone else) would have to play both retail copies (which I'm not doing) to make a fair comparison.
Bottom-line, the PS3 probably wins.... -

the PS3 version has slightly less slowdown in parts. but the 360 slowdown is very rare, so its a moot point imo. i bought it for the 360 and im not going to buy it again if i cant tell the difference. but that's what happens when a game is released months later.

Nielsen Videoscan predicted the death of BetaMax. They predict a dual-format future.
Don't be an irrational fanatic, they're movies people; get over it. -

IGN Insider have a video head to head of the two versions of DIRT.
To sum up, they say in the PS3's favour it has fractionally less slow down during multi-car pile ups.
In the 360's favour they say it looks better, with richer colours and no aliasing (360's usual full screen anti-aliasing looking better than PS3's usual total lack of anti-aliasing). They also say the rumble in the 360's pad is important for a game such as DIRT and hurts the PS3 version for it to be completely lacking any rumble.
They conclude by saying the 360 version looks better and therefore is a slightly better experience and the version to get. They also make a big point of how the 3 month PS3 delay on the release of this resulted in precisely zero extra content. -

GameSpot review:
Speaks for itself. One of the big complaints about DiRT on the 360 and PC was that it simply didn't perform very well. The PC version looked choppy on a near-constant basis, and the 360 version had a tendency to tank pretty badly during multicar races. On the other hand, the PlayStation 3 version is nearly flawless in this regard. The game maintains a steady 30-frames-per-second rate for the vast bulk of the game, and the few scattered dips in performance are very brief and hardly noticeable. The extra time between releases seems to have benefited this version a great deal.Receiver: Denon 3808CI / Remote: Logitech Harmony 1

Yeah I wouldnt know because i own all 3 systems. I just buy the game for whatever system it comes out on first. Only owning one system because you're a fanboy is pointless. The only reason to not own all 3 should be money issues. But lets be serious where at a HD forum I think we've all got plenty of money and spend is pretty lavishly.

Are you implying that IGN are telling lies? Why would they? If you wish you could trace a tenuous link to Sony - IGN owned by Fox, Fox best pals with Sony and blu-ray. So why would they favour DIRT on the 360?
And the planet IGN (and most people for that matter) live on is the planet where a delayed game gets extra content to sweeten the deal for those who waited. It's a common practice in the game industry. You have heard of the game industry, haven't you? -
