Wii just overtook the 360
Looks like the Wii has become the best selling game console in the world. Followed by 360 and then the Ps3. I still wouldn't opt to buy Manhunt 2 on it, but I will get smash and Mario.

Yerp... While I really am anit MS more than 360, I am anxiously awaiting the stock to update at my local BB so I can just get the HDMI Premium.
Why would a sony fanboy do so? Because if the xturds and pos3turds cant find a common ground together, the Wii will set a precedence this gen.
If the Wii really dominates, say goodbye to cutting edge R&D like unified shaders on the 360, cell on the ps3, etc etc. Reality is - we cant let this happen, and we are fighting a war this time around. -

Old news my friend!
I'd put money that by xMas the wii will have more consoles that the xbox and ps3 combined. Mind you, there could be a Halo3 effect that blows up my theory.
Full Discloure: I use a wii for games, have an xbox but only kid games...then again my wii games are for kids too. Did I mention I'm not really a game person?I live in East Toronto and am married to a beautiful woman who runs a yoga studio. We have two wonderful kids, boy and girl, two cats and a mortgage that is almost paid off.
I have an HD-A20 and a PS3 but leaned red because the extras did count. Bye Bye HD, you gave it your best, that's all we could ask. Sony, finish your damn product already!
The Numbers: 900+ DVDs (rapidly declining), 34 HD-DVDs (+1 on order, + 5 free), 17 BDs (+2 on order). Last movie: Close Encounters. -

LOL. Dang. I figured since it was posted today it was new...oh wells, that must mean the Wii is now beyond the 360 even more. Agreed, I have seen ads on CL where people are looking to trade to get a 360. heck, I just want an elite, but the price doesn't do it for me. I have the premium and upgrading just for HDMI is not worth it.

I think the 360 will stay midline as long as the Wii comes up with unique titles. Ps3 is still destined to be last...unless...A) blu ray wins which won't happen for a long time if it happens or B) they get a VERY impressive game line up

Um... hyperbole much?? High-end consoles aren't going anywhere. Calm down.
On the other hand, I personally think it would be nice if the traditional hardware race would just slow down a tad and let everyone catch a collective breath. There was a time when people enjoyed games for years on end without having to worry about upgrading consoles every 4-5 years (or a PC every 6 months). I love the new vistas of HD visuals and absurd polygon counts, but would it be such a bad thing if the Wii reminded some people in the industry that graphics aren't King?
Based on the size of the Wii userbase, more developers are going to take a harder look at it and figure out a way to maximize its features. If this leads to innovative titles and unique ways to play, I think that's just dandy. Metroid has now put the "gimmick" argument to rest by sporting a second-to-none FPS control scheme on a console, and the next few years are bound to lead to some more incredible titles.
Meanwhile, the PS3 and 360 will do just fine. Don't get your panties in a bunch.
--Sidenote: To the OP--why on earth would you not "opt buy Manhunt 2 on the Wii?" All indications are that the control scheme is incredible, and the only other place to pick it up is the PS2. Just curious. -
