IGN gives Lair a 4.9 out of 10

It was somewhere in the neighborhood of my fourth pass over a bridge filled with two warring factions and a bunch of evil rhinos that I went from thinking Lair wasn't that bad to wondering if Lucifer himself pressed this Blu-ray disc in the pits of hell.

i am astonished by these reviews. surely one bad review isnt a big deal but when nearly every reputable videogame site trashes the game, what they are saying is probably true. i plan on buying the game from gamestop and exploiting there 7 day return policy. i'll say it sucks big time and then preorder heavenly sword for the week after. i'm just wondering if i should bother doing this and cutting into my warhawk time???

That sounds like a paid statement to me. What credible reviewer would make a statement like that?

I have Lair and so far it is pretty good! The motion controls ARE spot-on. The tutorials are very helpful in teaching you how to control the dragon and perform attacks. I don't understand where these "bad controls" statements are coming from. One would have to not understand what they are showing you to get this wrong. An elementary school certificate is all you need to control this game properly.

wow I keep hearing these SDF statements "paid statement, he's a xbot / fanboy". Apparently 75% of the media are against sony and wrongfully judge Lair.

Please. He did say it wasn't bad at first. Wait for the Rhino's.

It's getting bad reviews everywhere. If you like the game then good for you, but when so much of the critical opinion has been overwhelmingly negative I'd tend to believe that it's probably not a great game.

You do realize Gamestop does not accept returns on opened titles anymore, right?

why does it seem like everytime a ps3 game gets bad reviews, the reviewer is always paid my microsoft. why cant a game be just bad because its bad.heavenly sword seems to be the better choice between lair and hs.

Clearly Joey you're just wrong. Whats happening is when you view these scores using IE M$ has a script to make them terrible. If you use firefox or a linux PC you can see the advantages of bluray and how inferior DVD9 is....

You know whats funny is, this game isn't even supposed to be on sale yet. But EB broke the street date and no one even seems to care.
