It is safe to say Lair will be a safe buy for the kids this coming holiday season.

Flying a dragon around will be a dream come true.

It kinda is. I'm not ashamed to admit I got goosebumps and a little teary-eyed when that dragon first took off, the music swelled, and I realized I could fling myself about the room to fly it.

My buddy said warhawk is off the chain. I didn't get to try it 'cause we were going to the Jags game but I would really like to take a look at it.

It has gotten some mixed reviews apparently. I got Heavenly Sword today and it looks penomenal and plays pretty good as well, tough though. I didn't know that Andy Serkis worked on it, directed some of the mo cap work and acted in it as well.

I'm still curious where you grabbed Heavenly Sword early?

I review computer games for a local paper and I got a review copy.
My biggest complaint is that the levels are pretty short sometimes and the game itself is short as well. Only been playing it for three days now and already I'm at the last level of the game.

Gamespot tore Lair a new a-hole in their reviews. The sixaxis thing alwas bugged me, even when I played it a couple of months ago. I'm pretty sure that a new version will be released with a major control overhaul after all the bad reviews.

i only have 1 ps3 game only played it once n got bored. i'm probially going to use my ps3 as a dvr and i might throw a linux distro on there so i can host pages of of it or do other fun things. mabe throw my xbox 360 guitar hero controller on and install frets of fury.

I just got Lair and my son is going to be playing for, hopefully, hours.



The question is: is this enough to make the PS3 a decent game system? I only have about 4 games on it because they all get worse ratings than they do on the Xbox 360.

Will Lair pull the PS3 out of the cesspool?

If you haven't got it, get Warhawk. It's by far the best PS3 game I've played so far.

From reviews, looks like "no".... But Warhawk seems to have a bit of a buzz, and HS is coming soon.

Could be you picked the wrong game.

Warhawk is nothing short of amazingly fun. James and I have now created the HDD team and tore up people left and right in an FFA match.

If you haven't got it, get Warhawk. It's by far the best PS3 game I've played so far.

Little off topic: tried to download Warhawk but the Playstation Store kept kicking me out, tested my network settings and only the Playststion Store portion failed. I consistently get a network error if I play SACDs, and wondering if my wireless is getting screwed up between the PS3, 360 and HTPC. Last nite was the first time I couldn't get in, maybe too busy because of all the downloads of Warhawk??

Could be Sony network issues. I've had no problems downloading from PSN, but Warhawk hasn't been verifying my user ID the last two days, I keep getting a Network Error, so it's a crap shoot to get on their network. I'm not sure what the issue is since I haven't checked out their forums latley.

Thank you! Like I said, I've never had a problem with downloading or accessing the Store or browser except for last nite (of course, because I really wanted to try Warhawk!). Any idea about how big/or long Warhawk takes on avg.to download? (I have Fios btw)

It's a ~750Mb download/15Mbs (FIOS), probably ~ 13-15 min.
