Right, I think that basically nintendo came out with some titles and a price cut that made it merely semi-competitive, but even after all that the space is really crowded and will only become even more so as time passes.
In my opinion, it's simply not a space that Sony should have decided to continue to participate in; there is WAY too much competition, and Sony doesn't have the obvious pick up and put down handheld 1st party titles to compete like nintendo does.
I see the space as a dying (or transforming to phones/tablets) market, margins falling through the floor with cheaper software and free (with contract) hardware etc etc etc. It's just a shitty space to compete in, especially when your financials suck.Currently Playing: Uncharted 3, Zelda: Skyward Sword

After the complete lack of any push at E3 and their subsequent silence on the issue, I'm honestly wondering if they continue to produce the Vita after next holiday. While it would be dramatic, I could see them dropping the thing all together and focusing their energy on the PS4. Just letting bad business ventures ride when they're not making you money is exactly how Sony got into the position they are in. If they are serious about cutting waste and turning the company around, seems like they would have to be honest about the failure of the Vita at some point.
That, or put a serious push behind it and try to turn the ship around...Newly converted PC elitist jerk.
