Why are people hung up on dlc?? Arnt base model 360s limeted to 4gb hd space, so wouldn't they have the same issues?
I think its probaly a good idea and would allow them to hace a lower price option. $149.99 ps3 right at wii u launch would probably hurt its launch.Waiting for the day when sales or graphics or reviews matter again. -

Pretty ugly. Of course, I thought the same thing about the slim when we first saw the pictures of it here on the forum, but in person, the slims actually look really decent. Agreed with onslaught on the ridges.

Not really. It's a good way for Sony to sell something at a lower price point that can be easily upgraded that many people may not even need. Casual gamers probably wouldn't even fill up the 16gb right away.
Of course, I wonder if the box would say "It Only Does Most Things" now.......Spoiler: -

A whole 6 gigs... that'll last a while, especially as some DLC is up to around 1.5-2 gigs now
Which has almost zero games that require an install. That said, it's still a shitty version of the console to own if you're going to play even a decent amount of games, just as a 16 gig PS3 would be.More then what is on the base 360. -

After formatting and reserved system space, the available space is probably closer to 14 GB or less. If you keep 3 or 4 games in your rotation that require installations, deleting and reinstalling could get pretty cumbersome. Forget about PSN+!
Still, as other have pointed out, if it’s priced to reach the very casual buyer, it’s probably a good move by Sony.DarkRedRain (XBL, PSN, WiiU) -
