No Fee to Be Charged for Connecting to Wii U Network...
http://www.tomsguide.com/us/No-Fee-W...ews-15731.html
Rest assured that you won't be paying $60 a year for access to the Nintendo Network...
At Nintendo’s annual shareholder meeting, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata announced that there will be no fee for Wii U owners to connect to the Nintendo Network.
He hopes that by not having a cost for the Nintendo Network that it’ll increase software and hardware sales. Considering that having access to the full functionality of Xbox Live, Xbox customers have to pay $60 a year, having access to the Nintendo Network be free sweetens the deal for buying a Wii U.
However, Nintendo could consider emulating Sony’s model with PlayStation Plus membership. No PlayStation Network services are restricted for non-subscription PlayStation customers, but perks are provided for paying members.Intel i5 2500k (@4.7Ghz) + XFX Radeon 7970 3GB RAM! + 16GB DDR3 RAM (STEAM/Origin: Nealon_Greene)

So, Nintendo Network will have slow download speeds, excessive scheduled downtime, major security flaws and missing features?

It's as amusing as College Football players that have played John Madden Football growing up, and them making it to the NFL. Remember, it's because they played John Madden Football that got them there.
Good for Nintendo going free online. Their online service I expect to be in amateur mode compared to Xbox Live. Curious if they will have a type of Party Chat, or Achievements as well.
Well, the Forza games have dominated this generation in what a quality racing simulation should be like, so I believe since they've had so much success with their games in great review scores, like LBP, they are branching out in a different type of game to try to make some more money, and to do something a little different. Much like LBP.
LBP great review scores, pretty good sales, and they are moving on to some Kart racing, same goes for Turn10 and Forza. (Although not as big as a different type of jump as LBP going to Karts, yet still a change) -

It would possibly be funny if playing Pole Position in the 80's had led to you..
Finishing 2nd in the 2009 GT4 European cup season
2nd in class in the 24 hour Le mans endurance race
gave you a podium finish in the 24 hour Dubai endurance race
and finished first in class at the Nurburgring 24 hour endurance race racing alongside the games creator.PSN : DaveS1138

Good for Big N. I hope they can roll out a quality online product as another good example of why paying for matchmaking is unnecessary.
