Wow, steep drop for the 360. Top three look how I figured they would but I'm very surprised by Sniper Elite.
I don't know where he got the info but Arthur Geis from Polygon said the 360 accounted for 45% of console sales last month. That's really bad. -

I hear Galaxy is brilliant, and it probably is. Just can't picture myself sitting down and playing it. That would take time away from watching the Disney Channel and working on my coloring book.Ryan Payton (MGS4 Associate Producer) -

I liked the demo because of how insane it was. And I miss WWII games. Starhawk had bomb written all over it. It's the kind of mediocre and boring game that gets way more hype than it deserves because its a "core exclusive." But yeah, the industry needed new consoles this year. They need shiny new things to sell, if they aren't going to price drop old tech, at least come out with new tech.

You know shit is bad when Nintendo has to pull out the Nintendo Family thing for a win
Also, love the Sony spin.Nintendo has weighed in with a statement of its own, announcing that the company sold "more than 285,000 units of portable and console hardware" during May.
Why refrain? Also, strong results huh...they weren't even in the top 10! At least now we know that a game that charts outside of top 10 is strong!though the Japanese hardware giant has refrained from releasing specific hardware sales information for the period. It did say, however, that PS3-exclusive titles like Starhawk and MLB 12: The Show "again posted strong results -

To be fair to MLB 12, it's in its 3rd month of release. Might be having good legs? *Shrugs*
Next year when it's the only baseball game on the market....mwhahaha. I love the Show.Don't Reach, Young Blood

I'm surprised by Sniper elite. I liked the demo, but it seemed like I was the only person who even tried it. I figured it'd fly under the radar. I still won't be buying it until I can get it for about 20 bucks though. It's seemed fun, but not 50 dollar fun.
I disagree about new consoles being needed. I don't think they would have changed anything. I don't think a new console is going to cause a repeat of the high-points that we got with this gen. In fact, it may be another few more generations until we get that again. The next console isn't going to be a radical departure or upgrade like we saw with these. As such, I dont think the buy in will be all that great.
Also, lol at starhawk being 'boring'. Its always amusing to see console fanboys throw a game under the bus with a slight that is about as factually incorrect as could be. Starhawk may have plenty of issues, but 'boring' isn't one of them.
