E3 Predictions
So we're a week out; what do you think we'll see? Some of this will be pretty obvious but let's not get too carried away with the crazy.
MS:
Most of the presser dominated by Kinect shit including Fable Journey
Halo 4 and Codblops 2 trailer with dlc deal obviously
GTA 5 release date announcement for this fall
Further refined dashboard - admittedly this one's a long shot, but I wouldn't be too surprised to see them address some issues with it.
Another long shot is the $300 bundle including kinect. It falls in line with MS's way of dropping prices. 4gb going to 150 or so.
Don Mattrick will continue to come off as an fake, arrogant asshole.
Sony:
Last of Us - I think this is going to be one if the big games people talk about from the show
PS3 Price drop
Sony Smash Bros. Probably some third party character reveals
FFXIV 2.0 reveal - long shot
Vita. Just a ton of Vita stuff to get people interested in it , including CoD Vita. If they don't that thing is in even bigger trouble.
Jack Tretton will continue to come off as a likable, sincere guy.
Nintendo:
Wii U mostly. Launch lineup including Assassin's Creed 3, Pikmin 3, and Super Mario Bros. 4. No price announced as they want to see what the other two do first.
3DS stuff but no clue what, that Castlevania game for sure.
Big reveal of The Nintendo Network and day 1 digital games
Reggie will continue to come off as a cool dude. Will use the word candidly a shitload once again.
Overall
ME3 ending dlc trailer
Maybe something from Project Ogre
X-Com Firaxis game
Something for TOR, expansion pack maybe
New Rocksteady game
And finally Bayonetta 2 will be announced. Upon release the game will feed the hungry, fix the economy (all of them), and unite the world in the beginning of a golden age of prosperity. Hardened criminal everywhere will weep for 12 days over the transgressions they have inflicted upon society. Animals will gain the ability to talk, allowing us to work with them in ways never imagined. The very concept of joy will manifest itself physically and wash over our planet.
So, what do you think we'll see? -

I’ll just give a quick prediction of each show:
MS: A preview of fall 2012 core focused games, both first and 3rd party. Kinect and TV apps. One surprise exclusive game… maybe L4D3? No Nextbox mention.
Sony: Vita to PS3 integration, including WiiU like usage and cloud-based integration for both devices. Sony has PS4 teaser ready that is only displayed if Microsoft reveals.
Nintendo: Wii U Nintendo franchises look amazing. 3DS usable as a Wii U controller for some games. Mixed reaction from core, but a Zelda or Mario in HD steal the show for some.
Overall, if MS and Sony don’t tip next gen, I think we’ll remember this E3 poorly. Price cuts unlikely. Vita bundles almost assured.DarkRedRain (XBL, PSN, WiiU)

Was E3 the one a bunch of us watched last year together in that chat room?
I have no predictions. I'm mostly hoping for some awesome Vita game announcements and Uncharted 4. But I imagine U4 will be a next gen title.
And for Bane, I will also hope for a Bayonetta 2 announcement. -

I agree that of the three, Mattrick has the hardest time connecting with the audience. Probably a lot of factors in that, including being the successor to Peter Moore. Tretton occasionally will give off a snarky used car salesman vibe, but he seems to sincerely believe every year is the year of the PlayStation. But both look so unnatural up there, especially the “deer in headlights” look to them while they read the teleprompter word by word, I couldn’t judge their actual personalities base on these appearances. Neither are winning any awards for presentation, unless that award is given by Jamie Kennedy.
