I'm not sure why game prices are considered "inflated". Considering a 2 hour movie at my local Multiplex is $12 I dont think a game that is going to give me 10+ hours of play costing $60 is Inflated.
At the end of the day you get what you pay for. If people only want to pay $2.99 for a game then all you are going to get is the bargain basement quality of Angry Birds.....If you want the full experience a console can offer you are going to have to pay considerably more....PSN : DaveS1138

Oh I have no doubt they will be. Just like the stubborn movie studios who price their digital offerings to fail and have an absurd obsession with "devaluing their product." Game studios will think that locking out used games and keeping the price the same will just mean more profit. They'll be mistaken.
You bought a Vita though so you're the exception, the market is speaking. Sony might want people to pay a premium for a "premium" experience, but consumers aren't going to. Most consumers won't pay the $60 (or $40 for a portable) price. They just won't. They'll pay it if they can trade in their old game for $30 towards the new game. But that is going away. So the business model has to change. Bottom line is, if Sony or MS don't change, Apple will be happy to take their business from them.

At this point in the game both the xbox and ps3 are way overpriced. Both should be $149 right now.

I hear Galaxy is brilliant, and it probably is. Just can't picture myself sitting down and playing it. That would take time away from watching the Disney Channel and working on my coloring book.Ryan Payton (MGS4 Associate Producer) -
