PS4 Specs Look More Powerful than Xbox 720
http://www.computerandvideogames.com...claims-source/PlayStation 4's early technical specifications are looking "more powerful" than those of Microsoft's next-generation Xbox targets, according to PSM3's development sources.
It begins.
I actually wouldn't mind one system being a decent chunk more powerful than the other, it would make it easier to pick as my primary console. Plus some of the meltdowns would be great.
What do you guys think?

Well personally, being a playstation fan, I'd love it. The problem is we are living in a multiplatform world, and 90% of the games arent going to take advantage of the differences between the two. Great for exclusives of course.

How does PSM3 have access to both console specs?
It is not even an official magazine AFAIK?
Being most powerful isnt necessarily the best thing unless it is released at the right price, at the right time relative to the competitor.
Also how would it fair in terms of features. Consoles are not defined by power only anymore. They are majorly defined also by the software residing natively in them such as the OS, online features etc.
Nintendo has proven this generation on top of that that there is a large market out there that is attracted to other things that dont have to do with power.
If they the XBOX3 is released at an attractive price with innovative features before the PS4 and the PS4 is only a bit more powerful than the XBOX3 then expect Sony to find big trouble. -

Well, since we are discussing non-existant systems.....
I am here to announce that the DragonBoxStation 5 will launch in December 2012 and will actually feature 2 NextBox's and 2 PS4's as the main CPU's. It will then also feature 8 Octo-Crossfired 7970s each with 12GB of RAM. Also, it comes shipped with 20TB of HDD space.
I can also confirm that we have lined up some great games for launch including BattleDuty:FieldCall, Project:Gran Racing, Charted:Tombs of War, Oval:Combat Redefined, ZonedKill, as well as the fan favorite Coldfoot starring in Eurotrash Footy. -

My specs are more powerful than the ZBox 720. My games run on imagination. THREE BAJILLION TERAFLOPPIES.
Great quotes on the internet:
I hear Galaxy is brilliant, and it probably is. Just can't picture myself sitting down and playing it. That would take time away from watching the Disney Channel and working on my coloring book.Ryan Payton (MGS4 Associate Producer) -

Target specs are just that. Both Xbox and 360 had spec changes relatively late in the process.
Still, better for gamers if MS and Sony engage in a small "spec war" before they are finalized.DarkRedRain (XBL, PSN, WiiU)

Unsubstantiated rumors and most likely to be inaccurate, but I like it nonetheless.
I really want a more ergonomic version of the PS Vita as the PS4 controller, so the chat interface doesn't take up the screen or I can browse youtube videos on how to get past a section in the game as I play it without having to either get up and grab my laptop/tablet/phone etc. -
