Yes, in fact has one of the best launch lineups in memory, especially for a handheld.
http://www.metacritic.com/browse/gam...nsed&sort=desc
That's 7 80+ games.
If I had any time whatsoever or any use for a handheld vs. a console right now, I'd be ecstatic.
Anything else?
Lack of games currently is not a problem. What I'd be more worried about is a Dreamcast-like death.Receiver: Denon 3808CI / Remote: Logitech Harmony 1

I'll consider getting one for ~159$ and if prices of digital games drop to a more acceptable range.
A god of war or few other marquee titles wouldn't hurt as well, but I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. -

Honestly, I'm getting one because people at the other forums I frequent are pretty damn positive about it. Hype got to me, just like the 3DS. I seriously want to play Uncharted and Lumines though. I miss playing that.

Sony has commented on sales.

Sony announced this morning that sales of the PlayStation Vita have reached 1.2 million globally, boosted by the recent launch in Americas, Europe and PAL territories. According to the company, sales of the hardware have "exceeded expectations," with software sales for the new handheld surpassing 2 million units.
"The market has responded and there is clear demand for a mobile device capable of providing a revolutionary combination of rich gaming and social connectivity within a real world context," said Sony Computer Entertainment prez Andrew House. "To sustain momentum, we're working closely with third party developers and publishers to ensure the best games and franchises possible will be available on PS Vita, and our software line up for the remainder of 2012 will have something for everyone across the globe."Proud member of the BATMAN club and the CAT SQUAD... it's not what you think.

It's been out a week in the US and Europe, counting launch weeks alone that breaks down to about 400k per-region, which is just shy of Nintendo's launch-week totals for the 3DS (which, despite its lackluster sales post-launch, was incredibly successful), combined the 3DS sold 1.23m and the Vita's sold 1.2m. I'd say not bad considering they're really pushing the 3G Vita over wifi.

It’s not bad.. I think Japanese sales are already 500k/600k, so that would put US/EU around 300k each, ballpark. There was never any doubt that it would sell well initially, there are enough core gamers and PS fans to make the first million pretty easy.. we’ll see where it goes from here. After spending the weekend with the device, it’s simply the best handheld ever made. But as we know, great hardware doesn’t always equal platform success.
The software attach rate is kind of puzzling however.DarkRedRain (XBL, PSN, WiiU) -
