Msft's 360 looked to have a pretty solid N.A. launch linup. I imagine it was a great leap above the generation before as quality of games.

2 standouts is all it takes in N.A. these days.
It looks like it was well diversified catering to every group of gamers. Sports games, shooters. RPG, racing. -

Yeah, also, as someone who HAD a launch 360, the line up sucked. You can't BS your way into saying it did have a good line up because the list has a title from every genre. So did the PS3. And the Wii. What matters is if the games are good. And they mostly weren't.
Currently Playing: Chrono Trigger, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Max Payne 3, Legend of Dragoon, Tomb Raider Anniversary HD
Pre-Orders: Resident Evil 6

I had SSX, TimeSplitters, DOA2, Ridge Racer 5, Midnight Club and Smuggler's Run at launch for my PS2. But I only had COD2, PGR3 and PDZ for my 360's launch... I guess that means the PS2's lineup didn't suck because it had 3 more games that I liked over the 360. Or, since only the top 2 matter, X-Box had Halo and Abe's Oddyssey at its launch, Gamecube had Rogue Squadron 3 and Luigi's Mansion...
Yeah, that logic is just silly. PS2's launch software sucked, X-Box's launch lineup sucked, Gamecube's launch lineup super-sucked, and so did the 360's. Launch software tends to SUCK. Either you have a lot of crap and very little worth playing for the post-launch drought, or there's very little to play and most of it sucks anyway.Great quotes on the internet:

That’s one measurement of success and sure, PSP did that. Still, in NA at least, it’s hard to say PSP has had robust software support the past few years. Third parties moved on a while ago and UMD movie support has been basically non-existent. The promise of what it could have been and what it turned out to be is a large gap IMO.
PSP Go was mispriced and ahead of its time. It’s actually a pretty slick device, it’s a shame Sony sent it out to die.DarkRedRain (XBL, PSN, WiiU)

As far as best launch line up's I would say for me, the ps2 and the 360 are about tied. Each had a bunch of titles I really liked and for me made me think the price was worth it. The other systems....not so much. I will say though that for it's time, the PS1 was pretty awesome as well. While the titles weren't that great in quality, the visuals were outstanding compared to what was previously out for any system.
Ps2 I really liked Smugglers Run, SSX, Dynasty Warriors 2, Eternal Ring (huge King's Field fan) and Gun Griffon Blaze ( huge fan of the Gun Griffon games on the Saturn)
360 I really liked Kameo, Perfect Dark, Call of Duty 2, Condemned, and Gun -
