one person's story can't be applied to the entire situation as a "blanket", surely you know this and wouldn't imply it?
1 is too many, as in "1 too many coincidences"?
until we have confirmed reports that CC fraud has occurred in relation to PSN leaks, which we don't, we can't fathom that it may already be happening (which you are doing) but rather deduce that we don't know if it is happening (what i'm doing).
where did "impossible" come from? -

No mich.. if 1 CC incident happens as a direct result of PSN's data breach, then it's 1 too many. 1 coincidence would be 1 coincidence...
You speculate, no... you imply as absolute truth that CC info wasn't leaked. I'm speculating that the possibility is there. And proofz is from my buddy and a few accounts I've read on the web to which I didn't believe until my buddy got the $5 CC DLC charge.
I don't think we'll hear much for awhile on this. I once thought CC fraud was mostly bullshit and would never happen to me since I was generally cautious and safe on how I used my card.. and then I got hit with CC fraud charges some 7-8 years ago from a company I thought no way in hell could be possible that a CC breach would happen.Jose Mourinho, AVB & PDC fanboy - FORCA PORTO!

aye, 1 CC breach if proven is too much, but he have nowhere near that kind of information that it has.
i implied as "absolute truth", really? perhaps you can point it out without stammering over the sections where i repeatedly state that we don't know if it has happened?. why do you intentionally misspell words when replying?
your buddy's 5$ DLC change likely has nothing to do with the PSN leaks, you can suggest it does all day.
it just doesn't add up when it occurred and what was purchased.
CC fraud happens everyday, the major vendors spend tons of cash on prevention.
not even from "leaks" but often unscrupulous employees or numerous methods other than "hacking the CC data" directly, but this is all irrelevant.
did you happen to see this post?
Oh my Gee Wiz, Sony!
yes, it's a generalization and not likely even completely accurate but is the public to believe your buddy or spokespeople from some of the major vendors? -

Sony themselves said they didn't know if CC info was breached.
They are the vendor who had their network compromised.
They said last week that consumers should be on the lookout just in case.
Only recently, like today I believe, they said that CC info was encrypted. If the hax0rz have the keys, then it's one of those...
Some people get fraud charges on their cards they have linked to PSN.
How's this not add up??
BTW, he hasn't gotten back to me on what day is listed on the charge, so again, not knowing the full extent but knowing that a fraudulent charge was made, for DLC content he could have gotten on PSN (or via Amazon)... how's it not add up??Jose Mourinho, AVB & PDC fanboy - FORCA PORTO!

because the last line is complete speculation with no factual data behind it?
you saw the post i linked to that some of the CC vendors claim they "hadn't seen unauthorized activity relating to Sony"? i know you didn't see where i said "we don't know if it's occurring."
repeatedly stating that it may be happening based of many now "some" random internet people isn't practical based off the information we know. then twisting/ignoring my statements is even less practical. how does this not add up? -

Same here. While we do not get alot of card charges here, I do get them. Over the phone, faxed and emailed to me. The whole number. It is just as easy for me to take one of those cards and rack up some charges on amazon as it is for me to walk down to the cafeteria and eat lunch.

Billions of dollars of CC fraud happen annually. Over 75 million PSN accounts had their information exposed.
The probability that some of those people had unrelated CC fraud during this time period is quite high.
We have no reason whatsoever to believe that any reported CC fraud right now is as a result of the PSN break. Not yet anyways. -
