$5-$10 a month? Where do you live that they charge that much for Xbox Live? Oh that's right, its the Indy logic that most people pay for Xbox Live monthly. Gotcha.
I'll give you the $5 a month if you are stupid enough to pay the full $60 for a year, but somehow I think most people are only paying $40...since its pretty much always on sale on the dashboard for $40. -

I think msft knows a little bit more about online security than a bank.

WHY would I use any other price besides the MSRP. Oh because Amazon had it on sale for 40 bucks last week? Yeah, and what about Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Gamestop, Sears, K-Mart, Target, Toys R' Us, Fry's, etc., etc.? Or all of those, including Amazon for the other 51 weeks out of the year when it isn't on sales? Fact remains Live's price standard for individuals are 10/25/60, which averages between 5 and 10 dollars a month.
That isn't my logic, that's just fact.Great quotes on the internet:

Your fact/logic is flawed. For one account $5 would be the maximum, if you paid the full MSRP of $59.99. Last I checked, 60/12 = $5. Where does this mythical more than $5 come into account? People that have multiple accounts? That wasn't in your original statement. Using your logic a ps3 costs $300-$600
I would also say I agree with counting the $60 except for the fact that it is ON THE DASHBOARD constantly. No running out to a store. No finding the special sale on amazon.com. It's right there on your screen when you turn your 360 on. Upgrade to Gold for $40. -

I guess everyone can serve me a nice plate of crow then, when Xbox Live is brought down by the hackers. I don't know why everyone is mentioning banks and the likes. I was talking about Live versus The PSN. Not websites.
