If ME2 is the biggest reason that you guys think it was 360's year, then I did a good thing by not buying a 360 since it's coming to the PS3 just like most MS exclusives.

    most 360 exclusives as in.....?

ME2 (for me) is the largest of many reasons why 360 takes 2010, no reason to be dismissive about it.

And I have one,(well I now have an awesome laptop so I have 2 PC's that can game) so hence why I don't need a 360, and I see very little value in it.

I did consider rebuying a 360 for $129 this holiday but like I said there was nothing for the system I wanted. So I spent the monies on the steam sale
Waiting for the day when sales or graphics or reviews matter again.

Little Big Planet just isn't that compelling from a sit down a play perspective for most people.

I bought Little Big Planet right away. The reviews were good, shit you coulda sold me on premise alone. It was pretty, cute, unique, and you couldn't help but marvel at everything the game could do.

But I just never felt like popping it in. I wont' be buying LBP2 because I know I will never feel like playing it.

Fallout 3 was a game I couldnt wait to keep playing more and more. Hell over 500 hours spent on the entire thing with all the DLC packs. I spent all night marathons with it. It blew me away. Even borderlands was better than LBP.

I see LBP more as a cute game for all ages. I dont see it as a OMG wow so awesome like FO3 was.

    FO3 had an incredible story.

Actually, Fallout 3 won a shitload of stuff. I should know, since I meticulously compiled the following thread:

2008: the official GAME OF THE YEAR thread -- sites/publications

As you can see, LBP and Fallout 3 tied for first with 4 major awards each; MGS4, Fable II, and GTA IV were next with 1 each.

Spike awards are a ridiculous joke in many ways, not the least of which is the fact that they're voted on by users and not editorially decided. BAFTAs could have been included, but I skipped them due to being Brit-centered and not very well known in the realm of video games. My list includes AIAS and many other major publications/sites/organizations, such as GDC developers' choice.

This analysis ranks a wider selection of sites (I went with a more selective approach) but quite rigorously, and Fallout 3 is #1, LBP is #5, MGS4 is #3:

    You =/= most people.

LBP was a big hit, both critically and commercially. In terms of word of mouth, its reception was very positive as well.

However, I agree its character controls should have been tighter and more accessible than they were. It would have made coop with friends/wife/family fun rather than frustrating.

Interesting, because the way I read it, the main quest story is heavily criticized.

It was very good, not sure about incredible. There were moments that blew my mind (like that black & white simulation) but overall it was a straight-forward affair. It was extremely well done but much simpler than the intertwining storylines of the other Fallout games and maybe that is why it was criticized. I'm no Fallout expert though so take that with a grain of salt.
I have to agree though, the game didn't win all those GOTYs for the main quest-line.

Back in 2010, I think the 360 deserves it. It was a bit of an off year for the PS3 with many delays and some long awaited games that didn't deliver 100%.

The main quest was rather rudimentary actually. And the ending......man, that ending. The story was just alright. New Vegas' has a far superior storyline.
