60% of 360 sales were discounted older models
http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/20/di...model-in-june/
"It is clear that the sales spike for the 360 was largely temporary, as clearance items accounted for around 60 per cent of total sales," Pachter concluded, "and it is not clear that software attached heavily to these purchase." -

I bet alot of sales were upgrades, but that puts alot more used Xbox units out in the wild that might get snatched up by bargain shoppers.
On Reach.
Just remember, there's always those 14, 15, 16 year old kids that maybe never had a console before because their parents didn't buy the, and they're getting jobs, and getting a little more financial freedom.
I bought a refurbed Xbox when I was 15 after I started my first job. The whole everyone would have already bought an Xbox is never true, as is it with any console, but it won't have as large of an impact as Halo 3 had.PSN: AverryXC

I hear Galaxy is brilliant, and it probably is. Just can't picture myself sitting down and playing it. That would take time away from watching the Disney Channel and working on my coloring book.Ryan Payton (MGS4 Associate Producer) -

wow, that would be great sales for xbox - especially in the summer - it seems pretty dry for PS3 releases until late sept and then November.
