Fantastic Four again
Fantastic Four again

Not a dream! Not a hoax! Not an imaginary story!
That's right, true believers: Fox is already rebooting FANTASTIC FOUR!
After a pair of big-screen attempts with the Human Torch, Invisible Woman, Mister Fantastic and the Thing, the studio is looking to put some new humans in the form-fitting unstable molecules.
No real specifics are given, but the new version will be overseen by producer Akiva Goldsman, who previously held some responsibility for comic-to-film projects CONSTANTINE and the notorious BATMAN & ROBIN. The script will come from Michael Green, who has some superpower experience from TV's "Heroes" and the upcoming GREEN LANTERN. Your current confidence level may vary.
Though it's been rumored for a while (along with a refresh of DAREDEVIL), Fox's reboot announcement is likely a response to the colossal Disney/Marvel pact and a reminder that the Mouse House doesn't have Marvel's "first family".
Marvel's classic superheroes are a quartet of scientists/astronauts who, while on a space mission, are bombarded with cosmic rays that make them (variously) disappear, rubbery, flaming and cobblestony. These popular heroes use their new abilities for the good of mankind, and clash with villains in silver masks and large purple helmets -

I hope they don't bother with the origins all over again, it's just not necessary.

I didn't think the old ones were that bad, but if they are going to reboot this franchise go for it. Hopefully it will be like the Hulk reboot and flash the origin story at the beginning of the movie.

I hope they get someone who has actually made a good action or special effects movie first to direct. Seriously, what in Barbershop qualified Tim Story to direct F4?

Uh... Look. I'm not going to argue with you about Jessica Alba being attractive. She's not a bad looking chick. But shes not that great of an actress and Holy Hell was she poorly cast as the Invisible Woman.
I'm all for this reboot. The time difference isn't any greater than Incredible Hulk and Fantastic Four needs it. The movies didn't capture the core of the comic at all-- it was just a mediocre, disposable X Men-lite movie. Aside from Micheal Chikliss, the casting was uninspired and Dr. Doom was probably one the worst movie adaptations of a villain I've ever seen (probably tied with Topher Grace's Venom). -

Actually this is the kind of movie Joss Whedon would be good for. He's great with dialogue and creating chemistry between characters.
He might even be able to make us believe Alba can be intelligent without wearing glasses.
Eliza Dishrag could play a villainess if he really needed her in the movie. -

they weren't the best comic book movies, but they also weren't the worst.
