And here's a bootleg if you don't mind, but I expect (hope) this will be available on Apple tomorrow

I haven't watched it yet but I've heard nothing but good things about this trailer, as opposed to the mixed reception of the teaser.

My friend said that will most def be in front of Amelia.

BTW, that same friend is now working on Iron Man 2. Lucky bastige.

I'm trying to not watch or read anything about this film. I want to go in completely blind on this. All I know is that it's James Cameron and he's supposed to be using 3D in a way it's never been used before.

That could be something as simple as no stupidly gratuitous use of the tech....which would be a first for a film designed for 3D presentation from inception.

Agreed. If one thing is thrown at the screen just because, then that will be it. Like Monsters vs. Aliens with the stupid paddle ball at the beginning. OHHHHH it's flying at me, WOW!

Judging by the 15 minute preview I attended, the key thing that Cameron seemed to be presenting to us was immersion. So it wasn't in your face, but to try and get you to get a feel for the world of Pandora.

The only thing that disappoints me about this project so far, is the choice of very humanoid characters who, in spite of their imposing size, have traditionally appealing pixiesque features right out of a children's fantasy story. I understand the choice, because it makes the core plot element of identifying with the Navi, a much easier task to accomplish, but choosing a more alien form would also have been braver.

it'll be online this coming Thursday
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint. It's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly... timey wimey... stuff.

Cinemascope doesn't require you to wear any special glasses to watch it.
