My daughter audtioned for a Columbia Pictures movie!!

My daughter has been singing and acting sice she was 4. She is 10 now. She is represented by Heyman Talent Agency. This is the same agency who represented the male lead from 'Bridge To Teribethia' and 'Journey To The Center Of The Earth'. Anyway...Columbia Pictures is shooting a movie starting in October called 'The Smurf Movie'. It is part live action and part cgi (think Alvin and The Chipmunks movie). Heyman had an audition for the sister and brother leads in this movie. Movie is going to start shooting in early October and it will be filmed in NY. Movie comes out summer of 2010 I believe. Typical family friendly/kid friendly movie. I will let you know how it goes. I am happy for her and I hope she gets it..but I am also being realistic just in case she does not get it. If she does get the part, I will have to take an extended leave of absence from my job. Wife cant do it and I would not see my wife or my son for a few months so I am a bit torned. Guess we will have to wait and see.
