Exclamation List of real versus Fake IMAX theaters

I came upon this link that is showing real versus fake IMAX theaters across the country.

If you know for a fact that your IMAX is either and is not listed (like my Ft. Lauderdale IMAX theater - real) - then send him an email updating the list.

CAUTION: The list is not complete!

Transformers 2 like The Dark Knight has actual 15/70mm IMAX footage in it. Be a shame to pay for something and not see it.

Same for the new Harry Potter film only this time it's IMAX 3D sequences.

The one near me is "real" as well so that's nice. I just wish I didn't have to make the trip to IA to see it. I'll probably fold for Transformers 2.

Yeah all them in Indy are real. I live in Fishers/Nobletucky area and see that the one by me is real.

The rule seems to be avoid AMC.

The list is missing the Santikos Palladium IMAX in San Antonio. Does anyone know if that one is "real"? I've never been to it, but I've only heard nice things about it.

I'm sure that's true for the most part, but my old AMC theatre in Olathe KS has a "real" Imax. I generally prefer AMC theatres to most others for some reason.

It's not worth it....the theater is evil! Full of ghosts!

I believe Cinemark is using Barco Digital projectors which currently top out at 2048x1080.

IMAX 15/70 is much higher resolution that that. On an order of 5 to 6 times.

MN - St. Paul - St Michael Metropolitan Theatres IMAX
In question! Will resolve when I can.

Pretty sure this one was fake, because they covered up the IMAX logo on the outside, and have told me that they are "remodeling" their IMAX to be (the same size screen) with a different picture or some bs.
