'Gamer' trailer
It stars Gerard Butler. It looks interesting, but will wait for the BD. Looks like 'Death Race' with more obvious videogame overtones.

Movies are so rarely great art that if we cannot appreciate great trash.
we have very little reason to be interested in them.

I thought it looked like an action movie with no brain. I'll give it a rent.

We just came back from this, it was fucking fun as hell, IMHO!!!!
The GF is a gamer; filled me in on the terminology, etc... Very funny stuff. Lots hot women, and the chick who plays Gerard Butler's wife is smokin'!
The violence was pretty cool, and had some very vicious Ramboesque kills throughout.
Michael C. Hall was pretty cool,Spoiler:
I read that certain "origin" scenes were cut due to even more violence, so here's hoping that the BD will be UNRATED.
Gamer is self-aware, and will be added to my collection it hits BD.
On another note, I know it's the labor day weekend, but are theaters normally empty during this type of weekend? We saw it at a reserved screening theater, and there were no more than 20 people in the hall. I doubt Extract stole the rest of the business.

Saw this last night against my better judgment. Other than Michael C. Hall stealing all his scenes, it was terriible imho. Some neat ideas in here, but overall very unpleasant and hypocritical.

I didn't think this movie looked good. I think Gerard's next movie, a good citizen or w/e its called looks great though.

I just got back from seeing it, and I enjoyed it. The car chase with "Sweet Dreams" playing was awesome! I could definitely tell it was made by the same people who made Crank.
This movie is going to look great on blu-ray and I will probably pick it up when it is released.
