Thumbs up What are your suggestions in the Martial Arts Genre of films!!

Out of all genres of movies, Martial Arts have got to be the one I enjoy the most!! There are so many out there!.... this genre is so infected and cluttered with Xtra cheese and bad cinema, that it makes it hard for us to find the real gems. In your film watching journey, what are some of those found gems, or Cult Classics in Martial Arts films that you have enjoyed and will truly recommend!!!

I have enjoyed so many of them and will highly commend the "Bruce Lee collection"!! Bruce IMO is one of the most influential and highly skilled martial artist of all time!!

This thread is a tribute to the legend, that is Bruce Lee!

Funny, the question is who is the greatest, yet you can choose as many as you want!

I choose Jet Li because I've liked a larger percentage of his films compared to the others.

Jackie Chan is just great, and he's so funny, and Bruce Lee is a legend, of course. Tony Jaa has blown me away, but his style is a little more bare-knuckled, whereas Jet seems to have more of the fluid artistic feel to his martial arts.

I don't know what's worse, Van Damme being a choice, or that someone's actually chosen him!

...yyou're right about that, but I also made it public so that we can see who chose more than 1. the poll shows who the greatest is......so far.

Jet li is the man! I just don't like most of his hollywood movies. The only one I liked was "unleashed" I prefer his Hong Kong masterpieces like "Fearless" and his Bruce Lee tribute "Fist of Legend"

Tai chi fluid!

Van Damme may not be the best martial artist or actor for that matter, but he made some Damme good movies! God Damme! how can you forget "BloodSport", "Kickboxer", "Lionheart", "Hard Target", "The Quest", do you guys remember "No retreat, No Surrender" his first role as a bad guy, eventhough a cheesy movie, to a lot of people it's a cult classic.....he has fallen into the made for TV crap lately though.
