saw the article on fark, and wikipedia has it. 2 or 3 chicago papers confirm it as well, but it is still early, aka "unconfirmed"

Oh crap this sucks. I'm at work and a co worker just said this to me. What a sad day. 50 that is way to damn young. You will be missed. R.I.P Bernie Mac.

Very sad news. Even though he's been in the busniess for so long, it was only in the last 7 years or so that he really got a chance to headline some vehicles (Guess Who, the underrated Mr. 3000, The Bernie Mac Show) and be a part of some big blockbusters. At least he lived to see his success soar to new heights though. R.I.P Bernie Mac.

Yeah I'm not a big fan of Bernie Mac, but I did love his work in the Ocean's movies (what little part he had...especially in 2 and 3). I can't believe he died, because I heard he was recovering well from Pneumonia and suddenly, he just dies. Truly awful

you sum up my exact sentiments. hated him in 11, but his work 12 and 13 i liked. he was GREAT in bad santa.
