i saw Rec not too long ago. It didnt give me any scares due to watching it on the computer rather than in my home theater. I can see though that it would be pretty scary if the environment is right with the sound pumping

You're probably right... I watched "The Grudge" by myself in a dark room late at night in an empty house and after about 15 minutes had to turn on a light in another room.. creepy as shit. Depends on the atmosphere your in many times.
