Default "Batman's worse review yet"

http://movies.yahoo.com/mv/news/fs/2...796735900.html

This from Rory Gibson, a beer columnist in Australia.

Quote:
Remember the name Rory Gibson, for he may well be the only person who can lay claim to having fallen asleep from boredom while watching The Dark Knight.

You know, if an action movie is "bad" just because there are opportunities to "put a bullet through the villian's brain a dozen times" that aren't capitolized on, then this guy must hate all movies. Hell, he must hate real life criminal justice since cops aren't supposed to shoot people unless they are forced to defend thmselves from deadly force.

He's right, "Heat" stunk because Pachino didn't pull out his gun and just shoot DeNiro in the head during their conversation at the coffee shop. Horrible movie, what was the point after that failed opportunity?

well imo the movie WAS way too fucking long.
it just was.
and with better editing, and get rid of a bunch of bs clutter it would have been far better imo.
(btw: Entertainment weekly gave it a D+ when they reviewed it. )
and would have maybe been the total classic everybody on here seems to want to will it to be.
In the end my take was this--
Ledger's performance is great, and some scenes were absolutely breathtaking, but imo it was almost like two movies--part 1 I loved, and it ended with dude becoming "two-face"
then we get part 2, and the fact is it just wasn't that great. all that crap with the boats, etc. etc. was just a waste of time imo, and only served to just drag things out.
my 2 cents.

who really cares if the Dark Knight got a bad review or if it was the worst one yet. It was that one mans opinion not everyone is going to like or love the movie. I do agree with the person that said TDK was a bit to long some stuff could have been cut and the movie wouldn't have suffered at all. I have seen the movie once in theaters(i usually dont like to see a movie more than once on the big screen theaters are to expensive)I cant wait to pick this up on blu-ray.

When somebody gives a bad review to a movie like The Dark Knight they start losing credibility.

The note after the title says it all. He fell asleep during the movie. I thought they could have chopped about 15 minutes off of the film myself, but to say that it "could only have been written by a dyslexic 12-year-old dosed up on Ritalin" is out-of-bounds.

I was looking at the "movie grid" in the latest issue, and next to "Dark Knight" and "ew" it says D+
I'm not sure it maybe they had multible reviews or something.
I thought it seemed odd.
I mean I would never rate it that low.

I can almost guarantee that Chris and Jonathan Nolan are smarter people than that man.

Lol. Yeah, if Ghandi was such trouble, why didn't they just shoot him? That made no sense.

Pass the beer.
