Game of Thrones Season 2 - Episodes 7 & 8. This season is going by way too fast. Last 2 episodes should kick ass.

Saw 'Snow White and the Huntsman' last night. Surprisingly not awful. I actually had quite a bit of fun with it. It's overacted and extremely melodramatic, but it's also very sincere about what it's trying to do and it goes full steam ahead with it in a very unapologetic fashion. It has quite a few faults - two hours is WAY too long for a movie like this - but it was fairly fun nonetheless.

Saw 'Prometheus' in the AM, before lunch. Absolutely rad. I say that as both a person who thinks 'Alien' is one of the 5 greatest movies ever and hasn't thought much of Ridley Scott since... well, the 90s.

It really isn't terrible. I was surprised as hell as well, Aaron. Certainly helps that Kristen Stewart is either comatose or not saying lines for more than half the movie.

Now, is Hemsworth's The Huntsman just Thor, with dark hair and a Scottish accent? Sure (and he even uses the back of his axe like a hammer). But that's just fine with me.

Even from just a visual standpoint I thought the movies was pretty solid.

Was it great? No. But decidedly decent. I thought 'Snow White and the Huntsman' was as good as I could've hoped for, but much better than I expected it to be--if that makes any sense (and it probably doesn't).
Steve Zissou: Anne-Marie, do all the interns get Glocks?
Anne-Marie Sakowitz: No, they all share one.

I enjoyed it more than 'Prometheus'.

I myself really HATED Snow White. But, not because it wasn't competently put together. I just found a lot of it to be quite boring, cliche, and dull to watch. I've just seen way to many fantasy movies lately.

Damn really!?! Little disappointed to hear that from a movie reviewer such as yourself.

Good to know. Heard nothing but positive things about this animated flick.

Going to see 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter' in an hour and a half. Hope it's good. I have somewhat mediocre expectations.
