Holy shit... This is the year of trash movies isn't it. Wolverine, Terminator: Salvation, Transformers 2, GI Joe.... what the fuck.

Yeow, about what I expected.... So far by far Star Trek was the highling of this years films... Harry Potter is the only other decent one, and honestly at least for me that one was a bit of a let down... At least Harry Potter is debatable though.

I saw this last night, and I actually enjoyed it.

Don't get me wrong, it was a cheeseballfest, but was entertaining enough that it didn't offend my sensibilities or totally shit on parts of my childhood like Transformers did.
I saw it in an awesome theater, and the sound was KILLER!!! The CGI varied from atrocious to pretty damn good. Some of the practical effects were good as well,Spoiler:
Snake Eyes was awesome, 'nuff said.
I don't like Channing Tatum, and in this he's got a bit of an ebonics accent. It was weird.
Marlon Wayans was not as annoying as usual, but if he was given better material to work with would have been great. Acceptable.
Scarlett, The Baroness = Hawt. Yes, please! That Rachel Nichols chick has one of the best natural racks in the business. Sienna Miller looked great; she hasn't looked this good since Layer Cake. I was never really attracted to her, because she's a skeez, but I made an exception. I did like the way they padded, propped, prepped her outfits. In real life, Sienna does not look that good.
Dennis Quaid = Awesome
Arnold Vosloo as Zartan was pretty entertaining and fun.
I actually thought Joseph Gordon-Levit was cool as The Doctor.
Christopher Eccelston as Desdro was also cool. I did like the fact that a Scotsman was the villain, I dig accents and such--very unconventional.
I mean, they threw everythig but the kitchen sink into this thing. No, it didn't all work. The sand in Egypt looked laughably bad.
I knew I was going to have good time whenThat shit was fucking INSANE! It was a very well done scene. I also enjoyed the Halo suits. Master Chief, you're next!Spoiler:
Will I get the BD??? You bet your ass!Last edited by cheez avenger; 08-09-2009 at 09:26 PM.

Just got back from viewing this:
Wasnt that bad....My 7 year old loved it. We have another Snake Eyes fan. "Snake Eyes kicks butt".
The only thing that was kind of annoying was The Doctor's voice. Reminded me of Brandon St. Randy (Justin Long) from Zack and Miri other then that it was pure popcorn flick. -

To me it was worth watching one time, but i'll never watch it again. It just had a very generic feel to it. Star Trek and Terminator Salvation was great, with Star Trek being the best. I'm still excited about District 9, Inglorious Basterds, H2 (huge halloween fan).
