Chester Bennington, lead singer of Linkin Park dead at 41. Pretty much a great sounding metal/hard rock band but some of their tracks did make it into movies.

    John Heard dead at 72.
You may best know his face as the dad on Home Alone. He's had other roles since, just not big ones.

Just saw that Jay Thomas passed away at the age of 69 on August 3. While he was largely known for his work on TV (such as Carla the waitress' hockey player husband on Cheers and as a regular on shows like Mork and Mindy, Murphy Brown) and on radio, he did have significant co-starring roles in films such as Mr. Holland's Opus, the Kevin Costner starrer Dragonfly, and The Santa Claus 2 and 3.

Funny you mention Jay Thomas. I am watching Cheers on Netflix and recently got past all the episodes with him in them. Including the
    Spoiler:
    Zamboni accident that killed him

Now get your f*cking shine box!

    RIP

Years ago Frank got a lot of heat from some in the Italian community because all he was doing mob characters. His reply was in essence "Hey I gotta work".
