Chris Cornell was one of those unmistakable and unique voices. I had seen an MTV special on voices before and he was if I recall number 3. I always question his motives though - did he have a huge ego or what? All the great bands he fronted and left.

Don't you pretty much have to in order to survive in the music business?

I don't know. Maybe it's a lead singer thing, and he certainly had the voice. Why did he leave each of the bands he was successful with?

Roger Moore has died at 89 years old.

Always liked this guy, a good sense of humour both on screen and off. His Bond entries were the ones shown most on television when I was a kid and I was always happy to catch them. He did some other solid work in stuff like 'The Wild Geese' and had good fun in 'The Cannonball Run', but I mostly think of him as James Bond.

Odd thing about this is I thought Roger Moore was younger than Sean Connery. He looked younger.

Connery always just looked older. He was only twelve years older than Harrison Ford, yet convincingly played his father in 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade'.

Moore was very open about having had a facelift in the 80's. I would agree with him that he got good work done. It made him look younger without getting that stretchy tight face look a lot of them get.

He was my favorite Bond. Some of the movies he did later on were stinkers. Obviously just a need for a paycheck.

Could be. He was only worth $110 million, but Sean Connery is worth $350 million.

According to IMDB there are several movies including Troll Hunters that are still in production. Wonder if he did all his lines ahead of time or what?

Gregg Allman of the Allman Brothers Band. Pretty much music but still had music in multiple soundtracks including Unbreakable, Brokeback Mountain and Jack Reacher.

The great Adam West has passed away.
Even the young whippersnappers know him for his role as tv's Batman. He has a pretty extensive list of other roles on imdb as well, do take a look.

I heard something today that I never knew about Martin Landau. I heard that he was first offered the role of Spock on the original Star Trek series but turned it down. As we all know that role eventually went to Leonard Nimoy. This fact is made all the more interesting in that when Landau decided to leave Mission Impossible, it was Nimoy who replaced him.
