I wasn't interested in this until I saw the trailer before Amazing Spider-Man. It looks like the script is actually nearly identical to the 1990 movie, except that it's more serious and less campy. I like that he doesn't look like an action star, so it seems a little more incredulous.

IIRC, from the trailer, it's going to be better than the original... and I love the original.

This looks pretty decent. I'll check it out on BD eventually.

I thought it had some fun sci-fi ideas, but other than that it's the same 'Total Recall' story only without Ah-nold, Mars, or
    Spoiler:
    Kuato
. Seemed rather repetitive to me and didn't really have much new to say.

I thought the visuals were pretty cool and the futuristic cities looked good but the movie just felt flat.
    Spoiler:
I didn't know that the movie didn't end up on Mars. I kept thinking to myself, when the heck are they going to Mars? And it was extremely repetitive. See Lori, run from Lori, over and over. Although I don't mind seeing as much of Kate Beckinsale as possible.

It was rubbish. Devoid of ideas and left me feeling cold afterwards.

Impressive on a technical level, but I found the whole thing pretty cold and soulless. Colin Farrell is a good actor, but he was really bland in this and couldn't breathe any life into his character.
