Default More BD/HD comparisons on upcoming reviews

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I would like to see more (any) comparison between these newly released BD, that have previously been released on HD DVD. There are a small amount of reviews that do have these comparisons or comparisons between previous import reviews, and I think that is great. I would like to see more of that. There are a few (possibly many) here who are still able to use both formats and just want the most superior copy of what is currently available. Even if it only means a 10min check-up on an HD DVD, of a BD that is currently being reviewed. I would like to know if a movie that was previously reviewed on HD DVD, received grain removal, bitrate increase/decrease, EE, color timing adjustment, contrast adjustment, audio upgrade, etc... when it was re-released onto Bluray.

THe first thing that comes to mind, the HD DVD's that have already been reviewed are no longer available to you?

Maybe the people who reviewed the HD DVD's could also review the BD's? That's not even a fair comparison, basing off memory, but it's better than nothing...

Having said that, I think you guys do a great job on your reviews and always appreciate them. Keep up the good work.

Thank you.

Black, with the changes in the crew, the original authors aren't always available. however, i do hear you, and i do make a few mentions to the HD DVD A/V in the Shaun of the Dead review (which is my only HD DVD to BD i'm working on at the moment). it's not a side-by-side, mind you, but it is a hint as to where issues or strengths were before, and if they are the same in that regard. bitrates, i won't touch with a 10 foot pole, though.

also, thank you, on behalf of the entire review crew, for the compliments, and also the suggestion.

Some of these reviewers here probably already sold off their HD DVD gear so a comparison wouldn't be possible. I'd hate for them to compare by memory as screencaps have often proved those assumptions wrong.
