Default Inetvideo Spam On Forum Page

somehow some site called inetvideo has managed to get a spam/ ad next to the HD DVD bargains forum page link.
I haven't ever seen this type of spam before, but god it looks horrible.
Anybody else see this ugly crap?
could be some weird browser issue, not sure.

Why not? HDD members are big Inet advocates. I have no issue w/ it. Smart advertising on both ends if you ask me. Also the most action HD dvd bargain section has seen in quite some time.

advertising?
are you trying to say this isn't spam, but an actual real ad?

spam is postings. that's not something any user could do, so i'd say it's safe to assume that this is an HDD/IB thing, mr Arkadin.

and epp is correct, many of our users have been using them lately, for their cheap hd dvds, or canadian blu-rays

uhhhh oh.
wow I don't know quite what to say then.
I feel pretty stupid.
I thought it was some horrible spam.
sorry, but it's a total eyesore to me.
if there is a higher power this type of advertising won't begin to proliferate.
REAL bad sign imo.
wow.
sorry for the confusion.

iNet paid IB to spam tons of boards with their branding and banners. At least, that's what it has to be as HDD and DVDTalk both got 'branded' within seconds of each other.

It's an ad. They're actually a pretty awesome site. I've used them to get a ton of HD DVDs for pretty darn cheap the last few months.

yeah, i only order when i can get free shipping, as well. still, they have never shorted me an item, and have even gotten titles to me pre-date by a few weeks before. if they could cap their shipping, as it does get horrendous, they'd be amongst the best

Agreed, looks very trashy. Oh well, I just closed (minimized) that section on my forums page

All gone

wow.
looks like we have a trend.
now I see some Goozex ad crap on the bd trade forum.
good grief, this is just so sad.
guess it's only a matter of time until the forums are just plastered with advertising of all sorts.
Obviously they haven't drawn the line yet on when enough is enough.

Ark, i'm as surprised as you are, and i'll admit, i keep the HD forums on ignore so i never really saw the INET ad after 1 day. this one is a little distracting, and counterproductive to OUR trading area, but you know what, the admins/owners decide something, and it's up to me to just get used to it, i suppose.

while some may disagree w/ some things, i'm HAPPY that the site doesn't sit STAGNANT not evolving in any way. THAT'S how sites die.
