Default Mis-Direction on Sub Forums...

I might have a little trouble explaining this, but here I go...

If I go into the Water Cooler (just for illustrations sake) then want to go back to the "Everything Else" sub forum I click that, but it goes back to the main Forum page. The same thing works for all of the Forum's pages. Say I am looking at a buy/sell/trade thread, wanna go back to see the whole list so I click on Disc Exchange, but again it re-directs to the main forum page...

Anyone else experiencing this problem...maybe you can explain it better if it's confusing too.

So, am I alone?

I see what it's doing. I did something like this when I first started my page so I can try to explain it.

You can make code <a name="Sectionx"> it allows you to jump to a certain spot on a page, like they do in the review. What's happening is that instead of going to a page that shows the list of all sub-forum (or whatever their called) your getting directed to the section on the main forum page where that section is located.

EX: Say your in the "Random Posts" thread and you click on the "The Water Cooler" link at the top, you will get sent back to the main Water Cooler forum, where all the threads are. But if you was in the "Random Post" thread and clicked on "Everything Else" link you get sent back to the main forum home, but it will automatically go down to the section for "Everything Else".

It probably saves them from have a unneeded page by doing this, since there wasn't nothing else really listed on them pages.

Did I make ant since or just confuse you?

Nah I kinda get what you're saying...But why did they change it, or is it a bug? Because I know this isn't always the way it's been. It's nice to be directed to the thread I click ya know .

I wouldn't think it would be a bug, that's a source code thing. Not gonna say that's 100% right though.

Can't answer as to why they did it though

This is a change that was made to optimize the site for search engines. We are currently investigating the issue and trying to determine if this is beneficial enough to keep.

I vote NO...it's been quiet annoying to me...but it seems I am the only one .
