Default Page down after a post?

Is it just my browser or when posting does it no longer take anyone to the bottom of the page / to their post?

I've noticed this not working for a few days. Niftty little feature I miss, unless it's just my setup somehow.

Can we bring that back if not?

Thanks.

I've noticed that also.
but the thing is sometimes it works like it used to, and sometimes it doesn't now.
It seems almost random now imo.
but definitely something is amiss for sure.

This is because of a change in the url structure. Before, when you posted it redirected you to your post's anchor. I'll look into adding that functionality back. It was not intentionally removed.

This is actually working for me. As in, I can't replicate the bug. Can you answer a couple of things for me....

1.) What thread are you trying to reply to that gives you the problem?
2.) Is it only with quick reply or with regular reply too?
3.) Can you paste in here the url you are taken to AFTER the reply?
4.) What browser are you using?

the problem is it seems to be random now.
sometimes it takes you to the bottom of the thread, other times it puts you at the top. it is very annoying imo.
I'm on a macbook using Safari.
Are you saying that every time you post you are left at the bottom of the thread?
because more times than not that is the rarity for me.
I just posted like 5 times, and maybe once was I left at the bottom.

Well, the slow page loading is a seperate issue. We've been having network wide issues for the last couple of days.

the good news is on this post it put me at the bottom.

We can't consistently reproduce the issue, and we don't want to un-install the plugin that is more than likely causing it. It is currently being troubleshot though, along with this issue: Mis-Direction on Sub Forums...

From the investigation I've done, it consistently doesn't scroll down in IE and Safari, and consistently does in FF. It's weird the way it's doing it, since when you post in IE or Safari it doesn't even return the anchor.

I'm trying to come up with a fix.

I've noticed that if you are making a post and you "go advanced" and say add a smilie, it seems to always take you to the bottom.
same with editing--always takes you to the bottom.
It is only when making the initial post with no "advance" that you are left at the top.

Thanks. We have a solution, and this is apparently a documented issue wit ha known fix. The patch should be applied within the next hour or so.
