Spoilers in Posted Review Excerpts

I am not trying to make a big deal out of the posted thread, but I just wanted to use it as a discussion point.

After seeing people's feathers ruffled in some of the billion TDK threads about spoilers, what is the policy about posting other people's spoilers? There are a lot of plot synopses and reviews of varying quality floating around cyberspace. In the sample thread above, the one reviewer/plot recapper from Yahoo completely spoils the film in the sense that he bluntly states something that the film itself does not come right out and state (based off another review).

Why should such article excerpts not have spoiler tags? Or should they?

Again, not trying to "report" another user or get the thread locked or anything. Just wanted clarificaton on the issue. Thanks.
