Default Import HD DVD reviews

I would love to see some import HD DVD reviews on this site. I am so excited about the imports becoming available but I want some unbias reviews of these titles before throwing down some serious cash. Anyone else interested?

I would definitely be interested. Seeing how HD DVD is region free and a lot of Blu-rays do not include region coding, I think it would be beneficial for both sides if imported discs were reviewed.

Well this site appeals to a global audience so I'm sure it would be very well received. However, I'm sure resources are an issue at the moment.

Definitely would be an interest to see how they perform over here. Like Tejstar mentioned though, resources are the biggest issue.

Thanks for your feedback. We're looking at ways of building out the site in the coming months, and I'll take this as series of votes for "import" reviews. No promises right now, but I hear you loud and clear. Stay tuned...

I think this would be a fantastic idea and set this site apart from all the other sites that do HD and BD reviews...

Considering that any BD exclusive (USA) gets a HD-DVD release overseas (in some cases) means that these films would be getting brand new transfers.

How about Blu-Ray imports? Must be fair on both sides.

Well, to tide you guys over, here are a couple of links to existing international reviews:

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire review

The Machinist review

Total Recall review

I also wholeheartedly agree that adding international reviews to this site is a great idea. And finally, though I realize that most of you are aware of this, here is a link to the thread I created that list many HD DVDs available for order worldwide along with ordering information and links:

Info on import HD DVD titles
