That TERRIBLE quoting error is still in full swing too. It keeps every post you've quoted in the thread and never deselects it even after you respond.

I'm seeing this kind of problem more and more. This thread:
Catalogs, how important are they for BD success?
has a few posts where the "broken image link" appears but not quite like Kannisto's post. -

Lots of terrible errors today (using current version of Firefox):
1) Several occurrences of the glitch where you go to post a sentence or two of text, and it tells you that you're trying to post some ungodly amount of images (documented above)
2) Several database errors for the forums, but not the main site
3) Then the entire site was down, and I received a loading error message of "Oops, HDD just went down in flames. An email has been sent so hopefully it's fixed soon" (pretty unprofessional message)
4) The quoting bug that VB4 brings, where it retains past quoted posts, is still very much at large - and incredibly annoyingCurrently Playing: Uncharted 3, Zelda: Skyward Sword

the weird bug that puts all those blue boxes with "?"s in them seems to be back.
it seems to be solved by simply re-posting, but for people that don't know this, I am seeing posts with hundreds of blue boxes.
looks like IB may have stopped working on these bugs, as StephIB seems to have abandoned us.
He StephIB? are you still out there??
this buggy-ass forum needs your help.

EDIT: the one bug results in this error message--
You have included a total of 30 images and/or videos in your message. The maximum number that you may include is 10. Please correct the problem and then continue again.
Images include use of smilies, the BB code [img] tag, and HTML <img> tags. Videos are included with the BB code [video] tag. The use of these is all subject to them being enabled by the administrator.Last edited by Arkadin; 10-12-2010 at 10:24 PM.

uhh not trying to be neggy.
I think the update was in July.
if I'm not mistaken it's mid October now.
I mean.....................honestly I don't think anyone wants to be badgering people about this stuff.
what else are people supposed to do to try and get this stuff taken care of?
I think the patience angle is kind of cooked at this point.
people are frustrated, and they have every right to be imo considering things were running very smoothly before D-Day. -

Well as Nate said, we have a new tech representing us now, so, there's going to be an adjustment period right now.
Yes, the update was in late July. Yes, it's October. But a lot of changes and fixes have been made since then. There are some issues, but for the most part, things have improved for me in terms of usability, although bugs and stuff occur from time to time (such as today). Obviously, they need to be reported, but getting angry isn't going to help matters. All we can do is report them, make sure the techs are aware, and in time patience is rewarded. But as we have a new tech, things will be a bit different. And the update is far from some evil disaster that has destroyed the forums, as VB4 obviously gets more support and more features. In the long run, this is beneficial. I know, sometimes its hard to move on from change. But sometimes it has to happen.Don't Reach, Young Blood

I was just informed by tech that the "broken image link" issue has been fixed. If you see any please let me know and I'll relay it to tech.
They are still working on the quoting bug. I'll let you know when I have updates. -
