The search problem should now be resolved. Please let us know if you still encounter problems.

Sorry, I don't have time to read this whole thread. I searched for keywords and didn't see anything on this. Has the issue with repeated words been reported yet?
For example, see this post:
'The Complete Metropolis' is coming November 16
The second sentence displays as: "Although many silent films (like Metropolis) were photographed photographed at 16 frames per second..." I thought I had typed "photographed" twice, so I went in to edit, but it reads correctly in the edit pane. Saving again doesn't fix it.
When you "Reply with Quote," the quote displays the word once, as it should. Also, bizarrely, when I tried to copy/paste the text here, it pasted in correctly as well. Yet when I look at the post, I definitely see "photographed" twice.
I've noticed this a few times before as well. I don't know what criteria triggers it, though.
I'm viewing on IE7 (office won't upgrade), in case this is just a browser compatibility issue.
Update: It may be a compatibility issue with IE7. The same post looks OK in IE8.Last edited by Josh Z; 08-28-2010 at 10:42 AM.

I'm using Firefox 3.6.8 and today i have been having problems with the forum, i click it and i'm sometimes getting the white page of death, i refresh the page a couple of times and it usually cures the issue, the pages have also slowed down again, not as bad as it was a short while back but still slower.
I do not believe this is an issue at my end as i have some experience with php files as i work on them at my own site so i thought i would just report this as a bug.
(Edit) in writing this post when i clicked to save the message i once again got the white page, i refreshed the browser and it saved.
The test at the site below seemed very slow.

keep getting the ole "server dropped the connection..."
edit: each time I try and edit a post it messes up and says "can't open page" -

It's been reported to tech and they are looking at it.

I think I'm seeing a related error when I view some threads. Depending on the Browser, the behaviour is different. Firefox seems to hang, Chrome and Internet Explorer show some threads with tons of broken image icons mixed up with the text. This is a screencap of what I see on the screen when viewing this thread with Chrome between the first and 2nd posts, and the rest of the posts after 2nd appear broken:
What imports are "better" than the US releases?

I've been seen the same problem appearing kind of randomly with other threads but with this thread I see it all the time. It's been happening for the past couple of days.
Sometimes I see weird <br /> tags appearing in those threads instead of the broken images, I think it's got something to do with that kind of tags...Last edited by kannisto; 09-03-2010 at 11:33 AM.

Yes, i am seeing this in that thread also. It was on both posts at first, not just the 2nd one. It would slow down my browser, but I was able to fix the first post, just by selecting "Edit Post" and then doing nothing and saving changes. I tried on the 2nd post, but the "Edit" page just isn't opening.

I am getting this error message today when i have tried to revise a post and then when that failed tried to add another post below my original one in the Apocalypse Now thread. I am not including smilies or images in the post and don't know why it gives me an error message.
You have included a total of 154 images and/or videos in your message. The maximum number that you may include is 10. Please correct the problem and then continue again.
Images include use of smilies, the BB code [img] tag, and HTML <img> tags. Videos are included with the BB code [video] tag. The use of these is all subject to them being enabled by the administrator. -

Foxy, it seems to have returned. last nite, i went to edit a post, and then when i did, it came back with broken images replacing every 1, and a few other characters. this was bad, real bad, since it was an important thread. i went back in to edit, and saved again, and it fixed itself.
Bug: 2 times in 1 day, HDD got bombarded by Harry Potter porn (2 different users, EXACT same subject line, makes it obviously the same source), that hit numerous parts of the forum. can we add a restriction to the ability to post links and videos, beyond just # of posts? perhaps days registered? sure, some spammers register accounts and come back in a month or three, but when people start pushing PORN on our site, we have to be aggressive and cut their spamming dicks off. Additionally, can we be more aggressive on IP banning, and more investigative in the panel when something like PORN happens?
thanks.Nate Boss

Ark, you'll notice a slight change in the top of reviews, with a new button and different affiliate lines. that was the most recent change that i know of. it is not vbulletin related, as site function is important, too.
there have only been a few posts in said month period, and the insert error has been known since before that, which a few of the posts are about. if something isn't being addressed, reiterate. i don't know what's going on behind the scenes, i'm not there, but there are still captains on this ship, and we're not steering it into the rocks.Nate Boss
