There is a character who is very powerful, and was at one point bad, but decides to become good and helps the main character. However, there is a character who possesses something you're looking for (I don't remember what...either the object you're searching for or info about the object) and this character had been crippled or something like that by the bad-turned-good character. He begs for forgiveness and offers to let the person take revenge in order to show that he actually is a good guy now, but the guy decides not to take revenge and simply ends up helping them out instead.

Any ideas? I know it's vague, but if you can think of a game, show, film, or anything where an event occurs that fits this description, do tell. If you have any questions you need answered, i'll try to answer them. Don't get me wrong, I do check the "Yes" button on Turbotax when it asks about paying my share of a use tax. I allow it to use the standard formula as there's no way I would keep all my receipts to know exactly how much I owe. I am just looking at all the additional overhead this will add to online businesses, which in turn will increase the base prices of every thing we buy.

In terms of ebay sales, think about the life on an item and how many hands it changes. Imagine if, every time it changed hands you got slapped with a sales tax. Did we not fight a war a couple hundred years ago due to unfair taxes?

I also have a hard time grasping how states got laws passed forcing amazon to charge sales tax for their states, especially after it was declared by the Supreme Court as unconstitutional back in the early 90's. The states know it will take lots more money (lawyers) to get it overthrown so they are scheming things up like this.

Write your congress people about The Marketplace Fairness Act (S. 336/H.R.684). Kill it before it begins.
