I posted this in the Hansel & Gretel threads:

If there are 2 separate reviews for the Hansel & Gretel's 2D and 3D versions, and
the extras are only on the 2D disc, then the reviews should have different scores
in the High Def Extras section. The 3D review shouldn't have stars for what is
only on the 2D disc.

But then again, the 3D version (combo pack) DOES include the 2D disc, so you are
getting those extras, so the adding the stars makes sense. Unless, a version is
released with a standalone 3D disc.

But BUT, the DVD is also included, and do we add stars to the review based on
what is on the DVD? No. (Heck, who even care these days what is on the DVD,
except the film of course, for the kids to play in the minivan's DVD player.)

I'm just gripping about multiple threads, about multiple versions, about multiple
combo pack strategies (see Oz release), it's like the format war again!

Wait, just wait, HDD will one day start reviews for the online streaming versions,
too. Isn't that inevitable when the majority of content is distributed online one
day?

-----

In the Oz thread, I posted:

This is great! Kudos HDD!! Bravo!!!

For what you ask?

You essentially did the opposite that Disney did. Disney split up the 3D and the 2D
versions (which is absolutely fine if priced appropriately, which they aren't). Usually,
there's 2 separate threads for the 3D and 2D reviews, but this time HDD has a special
combo thread with the 3D and 2D review comments!

-----

This issue is actually going on in my collection shelves. I've segregated the 3D
films in a different section, but it's getting to the point, I think I need to
integrate my collection.

-----

HDD staff, has there been any thought to changing the way separate reviews
are posted (especially if the reviewer is the same person)? I'm thinking there
must be a better way to present the reviews.

Sometimes in your multi-movie reviews (trilogies, Director compilations, etc.),
you breakdown the scores to each movie, each scoring, maybe something like
that? With in the same review, score the 3D and score the 2D, in subsections
on the same page?
