PS3 USB Port Problem

I have a problem with my launch PS3. 3 of the 4 USB ports are no longer working. (only #2 still is active) It seemed to occur right around the same time. It doesn't affect me much except for anything that needs a dongle, like Rock Band and GH, when playing with multiple players. Two questions:
1. Any easy fix? I have tried blowing out the dust with canned air.
2. If not, will would a standard USB 4 port hub work with the PS3? I don't want to buy one if it won't work, but a workaround for less than $20 looks ok.

Thanks for any help.

My PS3 is still running smooth but it is a launch 60GB and I am worried that it may die on me soon. I have been reading other members PS3's dying on them (60GB launch systems like mine) after about 3 years..which is about how old mine is. I have the $$$ right now to get a PS3 Slim so, if you were in my position, would you go ahead and get a back up to your PS3 just in case or would you say ''Taygan...relax dude!! Why waste the $$ on something you dont need yet. Worry about it later when it ACTUALLY happens!'' lol:o. Just curious to hear my fellow HDD brothers and sisters opinions.

Thanks for all responses!!

I just read an article that stated the PS3 version of Modern Warfare 2 has some issues regarding multiplayer and that it is totally unplayable. Is this true?? I was just telling my son that Friday we would go pick it up after schhol and take turns playing it online. If the multiplayer is unplayable, I am going to save the $$ til they fix it.

Man....I hope this issue is resolved.

Thanks for all responses.

I got my Netflix PS3 disc the other day and it seems to be very cool and work very well. However, i have run into a weird issue. Stremaing HD content has no audio for some shows. CSI Season 7 HD played good video but had no audio in HDMI or in Optical out. However, Heros Season 1 in HD plays fine and has audio as well via HDMI. I had the same issue with Harpers Island in HD, for some reason no audio. Does anyone have a idea as to why some shows have no audio and some do? I should also point out all non HD shows work 100% of the time.
