Actually, no, it will probably just please the geeks and the nerds. So that said, this is for fans only.

If so, does anyone agree with me about the picture quality? In my opinion, it is simply terrible. I find it incomprehensible the a studio would release such a classic film in this manner. Perhaps part of the reason is because the film is in 1080i format. Again, totally incomprehensible. I wish I had stuck with the DVD as in my opinion it looks far better.

So I figured since I'm broke with all these recent releases and the criterion sale at B&N, I went to Target and got the starship package that holds the movie. I thought it held all three discs however the digital copy/game XBOX demo of D-A-C was in its own paper sleeve. Putting the ship together was pretty straight forward but I'll probably take it apart since I have no room to display it next to my anime stuff once I see it a few times. Use a modeler's knife on the top since the plastic holds the packaging better; if you're going to put it away like me after a while.

I would love the Amazon exclusive release but as I said earlier not enough funds for Anime and Star Trek or the space either. Almost got the regular three disc version but I got the Target checkout guy to pricematch their exclusive set to BB; saved a buck!
