The smaller shows were pretty disappointing last year. People kept placing all sorts of expectations on Leipzig and TGS - and there was very little in the way of announcements.
My guess is that MS really doesn't have a megaton. They may have saved a couple games to talk about, in case Sony really lights a fire, which I don't really anticipate. -

As I posted in the thread where the discussion of this tech began, it will all depend on the effective execution, implementation and transparency of the technologies involved. However, please note that in the promo reel, a number of people were seated on a couch with a fist ready to pound on a virtual button on their other hand, and the system was presumably capable of recognizing one player from another, not based simply upon where they were sitting. In an interview after the presentation, the development head briefly addressed the issues of object "occlusion" and individual environmental variance, and claimed that the tracking software tech was good enough to account for them. If the software/hardware combination is sufficiently sophisticated, this will turn out to have been a significantly important date in the history of gaming......if not, then it'll turn out to have been nothing more than smoke and mirrors.
However, its' clear to me that this wasn't simply a scrambling short-term effort to answer the challenge of Wii, but a more ambitious, longer-term strategy. I don't blame anyone for being reasonably skeptical, but I think integrated interactive technologies are the future of this medium, and we appear to be on the brink of their introduction.Sony VW50 on a 100" DaLite Hi-Power

I have a suggestion for future conferences. How about whoever starts the thread reserves the first post for updating what was anounced. Just a suggestion. Im with Snad on this it was pain going through 40 pages especially with the bickering and veiwsonics negative post every time something different was anounced. Talk about trying to fanboy sabatoge something geeeeezus.

If I come in tomorrow and crap on your day, then you can call me you. I'm looking forward to Sony's and Nintendo's shows why couldn't you look forward to Microsoft's. I'm a race fan so, sorry about the over the top GT jabs. I really didn't think Froza 3 would hit this year. I'm impressed Microsoft was able to create two very comparible bar raising games in the time GT is coming out on the PS3. I was just shocked is all. I think GOW3 is going to have a staller showing truthfully for starters Microsoft still doesn't have a real answer for that franchise.

excited for splinter cell and crackdown 2 the most
however, as much as I want splinter cell to be great I can't help but have doubts.
This is ubisoft we're talking about, every game I can think of they released his gen has been slightly if not vastly disappointing.
as much as I enjoyed assassins creed I can see why many people didn't as it was ass repetitive.
then you take prince of persia, quite possibly the most superficial and piece of shit game I ever played. that game was so bad it almost pissed me off, and to think IGn gave it over a 9?
wow I give it a 2
hopefully splinter cell will be all that but we'll see -

Well he is a Xbox Fanboy and this is their conference, so it should be expected. I certianly hope noboby does that shit on the next two but if they do, thats why i suggested keeping the first post saved so we can put the anouncements their. So people who come in late dont have to filter through pages out fanboy slop back and fourth. All i care about are the anouncements and then seeing the game footage. And tomorrow when i get off i really dont wanna have to filter through all the crap again just to see what was anounced.
Chill its just a suggestion and i mentioned you because everytime there was a anouncement it was omg roflcopter thats a big anouncement. Im sure someone else will do it tomorrow. Thats why i asked for that. -
