Default Recommended Blu-rays to test my rig

Hey,

I finally went purple!

I bought the LG Super Multi Blue drive today GGC-H20L for $150.00 to pop into my HTPC rig. The Xbox HD DVD drive has been acting up as of late and saw the price drop on these puppies so I figured what the heck! The question I have is, which Blu-ray titles should I be looking at to really test my rig? I was thinking Disney's Cars for the audio and eye candy, but also should test a Fox title to make sure there are no BD+ issues. Jumper I thought sucked so not that one, I suppose ID4 but am kind of bored of that movie. Any you can recommend? 2-3

Thx

JAC

Out of my movies, I say 3:10 To Yuma, Kingdom Of Heaven and POTC 1 & 2 are the most visually stunning.

As for BD+, any day & date Fox will have it.

I bought Sunshine to test for playback problems, but actually ended up enjoying the movie (and the effects) once I watched it. Plus it uses the bonus view feature. Might want to check it out if you like scifi.

I really like scifi but sunshine didnt do it for me so I won't be buying it. It does test the system however.

I just bought Blade Runner this week at Target. They have the 5 disc set on sale for $24.99. It looked damn good on HD DVD, and it looks damn good on Blu-ray.

Shoot 'Em Up -- the level of detail is stunning, like you're looking out a window, and it's a fun movie as well.

How about for audio? Anyone you can think of that has TrueHD and DTS-MA?

One thing i recently noticed is there is not a pause when I change audio tracks on HD DVDs like their used to be with my old Xbox 360 Add-on. Could be because of a PowerDVD update. The bit meter does change however.
