I have no problems with the Bitstream any of the codecs, only PCM 5.1 which shows up as 7.1 on my Denon 3808.

Yes same thing with my Denon. It would be interesting to see if this is happening with other brand receivers.

Same thing with my denon 3808 and my onkyo 605. PCM 5.1 shows up as 7 channel on display. It took me forever to convince other people at AVS about this. I believe it is an error on the part of the BH200.

Its the BH200 not the receiver. I thinks they're right. Its happened on both my receivers. But they said that the rear surrounds do not work if the source is 5.1! I am just too lazy to simply unhook my speaker wires for surrounds and put them into rear surrounds to test it out

No there is no audio from them. I wouldn't want there to be since it would probably be the same info that is on the other surrounds. I want 5.1 so I can apply DPLIIx to create 7.1. Which does more than just putting the same info in all the surrounds. Other BD players I've tried have no problem with it so hopefully LG will fix it in the future.
I'm going to go to BB and pick up a third player tomorrow while I can get one and hold onto it. If the pcm is fixed within the 45 day return period I'll keep it other wise I'll just return it and stick with the current two BH200 players I have.

LG has been highly responsive with tech support. One of you guys having the issue (5.1 - 7.1) should put in a support request. You would think they already know of this but who really knows.

This is a very nice player, sold off one of my 5Ks and bought this yesterday. Load times are on par with the Samsung and doesn't run as hot.

What did you do buy a 2nd one to sell (I see your selling one)?

There is a shop here that is liquidating them so I bought them at their cost, snagged the last 5 they had in stock. Figured I'd sell one or two here if there is a demand for them, if not, I'll fleabay some and plan to give my brother-in-law one of them.

It's nice that this player doesn't have problems with Paramont menus and the little beep/ring when you push the units button is cool.

I wonder why LG (whose only put out 2 standalones) can handle these new Paramount Blus while Samsung (the BD-UP5000 being their fourth gen player) chokes on them. I can only assume poor management and rushed deadlines on Samsung's part.

Sorry you guys are having problems or questions with your audio. I'm not really an expert on audio. I'm still using my old Sony 5.1 and it sounds pretty good and have had no problems with it.

I'll try to do some research to find out about your 7.1 issues.

Nice pick up!

I'd wait a little while before you try to unload them. In a couple of months when they become my scarce in the stores, you should make a nice profit on this great player.

Sorry to hear about your troubles Vin.

I read about the issues with the new Paramount titles and that must suck. Hopefully Sammy will release an update to fix the problems. I can't see how'd they neglect such an important issue.
